I got this hardcover at a local thrift shop. It's about doghouses - but not just any doghouses! The author opens with glimpses of some notable fancy dog abodes belonging to folk such as Marie Antoinette and Washington Irving, and then moves on to provide photographs and writeups of a delightful variety of over-the-top "barkitecture". From the timber-thatched mini-cottage in Locust Valley NY to a Quaker-meetinghouse-styled structure in Toronto, they're elaborate and impressive - though the dogs who live in them would probably enjoy a simpler structure just as much {grin}. There are sections for classical-style doghouses, modern-art ones, eclectic found-materials ones, and more. (I should note here that some of them don't seem to be meant as practical, for-actual-use-by-dogs structures, more for works of art and/or memorials to dogs long gone. But most do show actual dogs enjoying them.)
Oh, and at the end of the book there's a directory of designers and architects, in case you want to contract for a doghouse of your own!
